Foo Dog Regrets

Usually, I try to live my life with the motto 'No Regrets'.
Today, however, I can't help but feeling like a complete regretful foo....l!

You see, when I was in Florida the other week we went to a big antique and flea market and I found the most incredible, large scale, turquoise foo dog pair. They instantly reminded me of Jen's in this bookshelf styling:

And Naomi's in her old loft:

Ahhhh! How good are they? I could cry.
Alright..back to my story.
I looked at the price tag and they were $60 for the pair. But the booth was having a take 20% off everything sale, bringing them down to $48. I love that flea markets have no tax and I bet I could have bargained them down a couple dollars more!

But, for some reason...I left them.
I think it was partially that I didn't know how much foo dogs were worth (which, by the way, turns out is alot more than 48 dollars...I should have known!)
and partially because I was trying to spend wisely and save while on vacation (and I really don't have a spot for these).

Either way...I REGRET my decision, big time. If Florida wasn't a 24 hour drive away I'd race back there right now! Instead, those foo dogs will haunt me for the rest of my life. Seriously..I may never get over this.

Have any of you ever left behind an item you wished you hadn't?

I hate when that happens! I passed up a set of bertoia barstools once. They were so cheap! Still kicking myself for not getting them.

It will be OK!
You left them for a reason....maybe down deep you didn't see them in your world. Yes, they were a fabulous price and they are gorgeous, but maybe not the ones for you, and you knew it.
Look to the future, no need looking to the past...

I am still mourning the loss of a pair of driftwood mirrors I debated over in HomeGoods :( I feel your pain! Go buy yourself a pair of $48 shoes today!

I've done that myself and regretted it for a long time. Maybe you could call them - could they ship them to you? Good luck!

I've been there! It's so sad to go back and realize you've missed your chance and then you are always searching for it again and can never find exactly what you fell in love with the first time. Hopefully this doesn't happen to you and you'll find even BETTER foo dogs that you'll love!

Ahh i feel your pain! I've done this more times that I care to admit, but the hunt is half the fun so I am sure you will find another amazing pair somewhere along the line :)

It happens to me all the time!! Especially when I'm on vacation and don't have much space in my bags plus the spending is a concern when I'm thinking of all the times we are eating out/taxis.... I'm sure you will come across an even cuter pair...no worries...the good thing is that they are everywhere!
