Vacation Wardrobe: Carrie Bradshaw

I'm headed on a trip (more on this tomorrow), but as I sit here packing I realize I have nothing even close to Carrie Bradshaw level of vacation fabulousness.
Just look at this unfairness:
Oh hi I'm Carrie just casually rocking turbans, riding camels and looking amazing.
Please note that the humidity while on vacation only makes Carrie's waves more flawless, not all frizzy like the rest of us mere mortals

Carrie technically wears this breezy Jersey dress while still in NYC, but wouldn't it make a great vacation piece?

What, you mean you guys don't pack a huge crinoline lined ballgown style shirt to shop in souks and flea markets?! You cray. (Alright this last look is a bit unrealistic I'll admit).

Ladies, don't despair. While I have no time to shop before I depart, check out this guide I've put together for a little Carrie Inspired vacation wardrobe:
  Shoes / Turban / Necklace / Sunnies / Dress

Now if only we had Carrie's budget...and apartment! sighhhh

  1. I LOVE Carrie's style. I was always so inspired by her watching the show and the movies. Although you are right- it's a bit unrealistic that a freelance writer could spend money daily on Monolos and such! Still, great roundup of vacation necessities. :)

  4. all are very cute. I wish I could pull of that cray purple skirt! It's truly fabulous. But, I have to admit, if I saw someone wearing that down the street... I would have to assume they were on their way to an 80s prom theme party :) Thanks for the tip about the fur stool. I remember seeing that white faux fur at ikea. I am seriously considering doing it!!!!

  6. I love Carrie's style although I wish I had the confidence to pull it off! I think I might start with baby steps and try the aviators and the dress and then move on to the turban!

  7. I always thought that ball gown skirt was a bit silly (it would take a whole suitcase by itself) but I am definately trying to look for some amazing outfits on my upcoming trip! xx
