Pink Curtains in the Washroom

I'm all about bold curtains in the washroom, whether in the form of a shower curtain or window treatments. Washrooms are comprised of mostly hard, cold, shiny and monochromatic surfaces. Textiles are a great way to soften up the space and inject warmth, pattern and color. And hey, if that color happens to be pink, I'm certainly not complaining!

Unfortunately the clients weren't crazy about pink.... I'd gladly take these off their hands!

Do you like the idea of curtains in the bathroom, or does the idea of drapery in a humid environment make you uneasy? What about pink curtains? I wish I could do something like this in my current bachelorette pad...I just know the boy will veto it the second we live together, much like my dream of a pink sofa....

  1. No ma'am, don't let the boy veto any of your pink dreams. Matthew painted our downstairs bathroom pink for me just after we moved in. And I might make him do it again in another house one day. That's love I tell ya!

  3. I am loving the pink in the bathroom, I agree it totally warms up a room that is normally cold and hard. I say bring on the pink!

  4. I dont mind the use of drapery in the bathroom. That being said, I try to keep bathroom designs gender neutral when used by both men and women. A little pop of color here or there seems to be acceptable but we don't want to overwhelm the guys with florals and pinks every time they walk in the room now do we? -Tonya

  7. I love it on a shower! Naomi does my favorite shower curtains. She's always so creative with them. I wanted to do a split down the middle one but got too anxious and just bought one instead.

  9. We have the same opinions here, Tiffany! Bold curtains can give sense of privacy in a space. Actually, pink is an inviting color, but it depends on the shade. Powder pink can give refreshing ambience to your living room; while fuchsia pink can make your bedroom a chic personality. And for the washroom… well, soft pink can relax your mood while having a bubble bath.
