Chintz is back and better than ever. No, we aren't talking grandma's dated floral couch here people (although I just know there is something fabulous about even that), but a modern, fresh take on this traditional fabric. The term Chintz means any printed calico from India, usually cotton and glazed, but today we use it more casually to describe any floral fabric.
I've rounded up some of my favourite Chintz fabrics and some inspiration below!:

Now tell me, do you like chintz? Would you do a full floral sofa, or play it safer with a throw pillow?
I think it is a truly timeless look, and I love that it is back in style!

Chintz can do little wrong in my book ;)
ReplyDeleteI LOOOOOVE Pyne Hollyhock! I'm absolutely obsessed with it and dying to have a bit of it in some form, a pillow, curtains, upholstered chair, anything. The other two are gorgeous as well. I just love, love, love florals in interiors! Great post :)
ReplyDeleteLove love love it!
ReplyDeleteI've been on the hunt for the perfect colored chintz pillow! Love the pop of color it adds :)

So pretty. Never knew the word Chintz. Learned something new and I think my new table cloth could be considered chintz
ReplyDeleteHi, Tiffany. Hope you are doing well. I sell the Orangerie Rose in my Etsy shop and I just had a client request the Pyne Hollyhock Charcoal, so that is on the way for me to make a pillow cover out of. I never used to think I'd like chintz, after living through the floral explosion in my tween bedroom, but I have to admit I'm a fan!
