This weekend, my big brother and I hit up the Aberfoyle flea market. I guess this means that I can check off number 3 on my
Summer to Do List! It was huge, a little overwhelming even, but I found something that has been on my lust list for a long time: a brass bar cart:
To be honest, I don't really have anywhere to put this, but I bargained it down to $30 and just couldn't pass it up. I was in love. Now I'm looking to some of my favourite bar cart images for inspiration on how to style it perfectly.
What do you think? I am in love.

ps. I did the magnet test and my bar cart appears to be brass
plated rather than solid brass. The finish is a bit tarnished..Does anyone have suggestions for a good gold spray paint?

OMG what a great steal!! We have Montgomery Antique Mall and it's like this massiiiive building FILLED with antiques... some stuff is really expensive but I actually got a bar cart there in May for $50 and it's gorgeous! Oh my! What a steal! $30- I'm a tad bit jealous! Bar carts are SO cool. I had a post a few weeks ago with designer Emily from EM Design... she really knows how to decorate a barcart. Check her out sometime! xo have a great day love!

I'm a tad bit jealous! I've been on the lookout for a bar cart! As for spray paint I live by Rustoleum. I've used their line of metallics on several projects and no disappointments.
I'm such a sucker for a nicely styled bar cart. Such a steal!
I LOVED Aberfoyle when I visited Toronto in May for Blogpodium - what a find! I have heard Krylon metallic spray paint is good as it is not paint but a metallic finish instead! I am going to try some on my drapery hardware
