Girl's Night and A Reminder!

Last night I hit up a swanky downtown restaurant in an old converted factory with my girls.
It inspired me to get a little dolled up and to share the look with all of you!

Spikey Necklace Glam

There was no one home to take my photo so I had to settle for a selfie!
Pair a sheer white blouse with semi high waisted black shorts. A spikey necklace like this one from H&M and a more feminine classic clutch (you may recognize mine from my bathroom reveal) creates the perfect balance between girly and edgey. Polish off the look with a sexy pair of black pumps.

If you like the look of my clutch from H&M, then you will LOVE the earrings I am giving away TOMORROW! That's right girls, you only have until tomorrow evening to enter!
Good luck!
What would you wear out for dinner with the besties? xo

Touches of Tassels

Gone are the days when tassels indicated formality in the form of elaborate drapery ties. Tassels are now fun and trendy, and I adore them (Could you tell by my header?). The fact that Audrey wore tassel earplugs in Breakfast at Tiffany's show that these can be timeless beauties as well!

Did you catch out my bathroom reveal yesterday? If not,  check it out!
There is some more tasseled goodness to be seen in there. xo

This Blogger's Bathroom

I recently had a request to show more of my living space, and so today I have a little treat for all of my readers: My bathroom!
Before getting my hands on this space, it was covered in (I kid you not) floor to ceiling fish wallpaper. I don't have a picture so you will just have to trust me on this one. When my brothers moved out I knew it was time to glamify and girlify the space. I couldn't change any of the major elements like flooring, layout, countertops, tiles or the tub and my budget was very limited, but I'm in love with the room now! Here is the finished result:
My favourite detail is the pink depression glass pieces from my mother. I also love the little details like the crystal knobs and shower curtain hooks and the tassels. The black swirl painting is a piece I created.
What do you all think? I'm anxious for some feedback!
