Living Room Paint: Masculine and Feminine

I'm pretty color shy when it comes to walls. I love white walls because it feels crisp, light, and allows your other pieces to really pop and take center stage. But there are two bold colours that I would gladly paint a living room..and they couldn't be more opposite!

Masculine: Navy

If white is a crisp neutral, navy is it's moody counterpart, instantly cozying up the space. I Like it when the trim is painted out as well. The high gloss factor in the picture above is making me very happy.

Feminine: Pale Pink

We are talking VERY pale here people. Christine Dovey does it perfectly in her living room above. It is delicate without being in your face girly, and compliments her treasures so well.

Would you do navy or pale pink? Or neither! xo

Feminine all the way. I like dark colored wall in other people's houses.

I prefer the dark blue room. I especially love the impact of painting the trim and crown in the same colour. This would look good in a dining room, small cozy living room, or even an entryway.

That's a tough one because I love both. I would probably go with navy though for an accent wall.

Ahhh that pale pink gets me every time. Does she not have the greatest home?! As opposite as it is to what I typically got for, I feel like a small navy moment would be great.

I love them both! I hope I get to do a very dark and seductive room in my house one day. Right now things in my home are more in step with the lighter pic. Maybe on my next house ;)

They are both gorgeous! I would have to have the right plan for the room though to actually get me to commit to either one on my own walls...I really like more play-it-safe paint colors on the walls. But I know that the right piece of fabric or furniture could convince me to do either color if it would show off a new piece that I loved!

I love them both actually. And considering each right now as a matter of fact. :)
