Classic Pieces

Jacket: Banana Republic (sold out, similar) / Bag: Kate Spade (similar) / Boots: Franco Sarto / Watch: Michael Kors / Shirt: Banana Republic / Pants: Gap

Now that I have a grown up job and am almost done school, I'm slowly building up a more sophisticated wardrobe consisting of timeless, quality pieces. A classic cream wool jacket paired with black is an effortlessly chic look on a chilly and windy day. Also, I cut my hair! Inspired by the lobs of Lauren Conrad and Lucy Hale, I decided to change things up and donate my hair to the Canadian Cancer Foundation. I am loving the new 'do!

Happy New Year loves! I can't wait to see what 2015 has in store for us.

Pretty in Pink: A Soft Pink Coat

Lately I've been completely obsessed with the idea of a menswear-inspired jacket, but done in an overly feminine shade of soft pink. I already have a hot pink peacoat, but I think pale pink is just so perfect, delicate and classically elegant. I'm a girly girl at heart, and I think this would be a perfect investment.

A light pink coat is perfect for adding a touch of vintage glamour and softness to any outfit. Not to mention Valentine's Day is right around the corner and this would make for the sweetest of looks.
Have I convinced you yet?

My Wild Side: Leopard Pants

Took my new leopard pants out for a spin this weekend and they are my new favourite clothing item.
They are so comfortable and stylish, I may never take them off!

Black Tee / Leopard pants / Lucite Clutch / Gold Chain Necklace (similar)  / Shoes (old)
I also got my lucite clutch, and am LOVING it. You can see I've already gotten some wear and tear out of it. I'm still trying to get the hang of this outfit post thing, but they are so much fun!
How do you show YOUR wild side? We've all got one...

Needing.Wanting.Loving: Sequin Pants

It's Victoria Day here in Canada and holidays always get me thinking about party pants...I know I'm not the only one.

I need a pair of sequin pants and I need them NOW. How bratty of me, no? I have the most perfect event for them this weekend! Plus I would totally wear them to see The Great Gatsby. I feel like that's the kind of movie you gotta get glammed up for...am I right?

I'm really loving the gold and silver options. Oh and true story...until I was 14 I actually thought it was called a 'sequaine'. Good one Tiff.
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend/ Happy May 2-4 to all my Canadian followers!

My Style via Instagram

I'm no fashion blogger but I do put some effort into what I wear. I don't have anyone to take actual post photos of my outfits, but if you are curious about my sense of style you can always follow me on instagram! Here is a look at some of my recent spring looks:
1. I bought this dalmation dress from H&M in the fall, and I am so happy to finally get to wear it without tights. It looks so much cuter this way in my opinion
2. My pleated blush maxi skirt from Forever 21 is better than I even imagined.
3. Jewels from Love Obsessed...Can't wait to wear these beauties. Just need the right occasion.
4. All about the contrast with florals, chambray and jewels!

What are your go to spring looks? And don't forget to follow me on instagram! xo

Skirt Alert

via Bittersweet Colours
I did a post in July about trying to save money for school while being tempted by the gorgeousness of the blush maxi skirt.  Thankfully, Forever21 exists and I finally got my skirt at a great price. I seriously thought about keeping this gem all to myself, but I like you all too much....
Get it while you can. Here.

French Phrase - Forever 21

J'adore all of the sweaters I've been seeing with French phrases this season, but have been holding off because the price tags have been a little on the high side.

I love this 'Bonjour' number:

And this 'Creme de la Creme':
via Atlantic - Pacific
The price range on these sweaters were 60-120...not completely outrageous but still out of my budget, and now all sold out (except in size 8! Hurry & you can still get the 'bonjour' sweater here, and it's on sale!).
Luckily for me, Forever 21 came through once again and I just ordered this adorable sweater for less than $30!
Love the nautical feel. Get yours here.

Style Staple: Fur Stole

An accessory that I'm loving these days are fur stoles.
Evidently, I was a pretty cool kid. Take a look at this picture of me for Halloween circa 2000:
My bestie Megan and I were 'rich ladies'. Please note my amaze fur stole that I got at a garage sale.
Now, here's the bad news. I searched my old dress up box high and low for that baby and can't seem to find it. I'm kinda convinced my big brother Dan has it somewhere....

Luckily my mom had a similar stole on an old coat that she has given to me so now I can pull off a little of this:

And this:

via oh my heart
So cozy and chic, and definitely classic in my opinion. I think this should be a staple in anyone's wardrobe for the chillier months.
I'm sorry if any of you are offended by fur! Faux is always a great option.

Are you trying out any of these?

Basics with Versatility: The Striped Shirt

Nautical striped shirts are right on trend at the moment. They are definitely a neutral piece, making them a wardrobe basic with a TON of versatility. I recently purchased a navy and white striped top from H&M for $19.95 and I absolutely love it! Here are three different looks you can achieve easily with this piece:
Which is your fave look? Do you own this simple wardrobe staple?

Coral Jeans

Like many of my fellow bloggers, I've been loving the colored denim trend. I couldn't decide which color I wanted, until I stumbled across the perfect coral pair at Aritzia. Unfortunately, they were over $200. On trends, I refuse to spend alot of money because you never know how long they will be around. Luckily for me, Garage had a nearly identical pair for only $40. You can bet I snapped those up. Here's how I plan on styling my new pants:

Coral Spring
Have you jumped aboard this trend? What color would you choose?

If this dress were a couch {# 2}...

If this dress were a couch...
It would be a barely there creamy satin settee with a deep scoop back and some fabulous glittering gold pillows.

Now the only question is, how does one move in such a short little number? xox Tiffany Leigh

Coral Cafe: Airport Attire Guest Post part 2

It's time to escape to the ISLANDS! Thank you Tiffany for having me over today to share my airplane attire while heading to the warm sun, sandy beaches and flowing aqua water (in my mind of course).
What better way to walk in style than in this gloriously colored maxi skirt?! The prints go perfectly with one another. Pink, orange and aqua accessories add to this tropical wardrobe while your carry on is filled with reggae beats, travel magazines to point you in the right direction of paradise and fruity twizzlers to snack on with dreams of the islands playing in your head.
Hope Tiffany is enjoying her vacation and is looking forward to sharing the exciting details upon her arrival! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
